Erick Alexander Bensch's Obituary
Erick was the son of Frederick and Bonita Bensch, born in Miami and lived most of his life in the Redlands; he graduated from South Dade High School in 1994 then went on to a Police Academy course where he finished with a Correctional Officer certification. He spent 8 years working in the Florida State prison system earning early on the rank of Sergeant system then moved to the Key Largo to be near his parents at some point. He enjoyed Kickboxing, Jujitsu and loved fishing with his dad.
He is survived by his older brothers Frederick Bensch Jr (Tatiana) and Scott Bensch (Daniela), two sons Derick (23) and Tyler Bensch (19) he dearly loved and girlfriend Peggy West whom he lived with in Key Largo.
He had many friends in many places that he truly enjoyed and will be deeply missed by all of them. He made friends everywhere he went and was good at genuinely caring for each and every person he came in contact with and treated everyone equally, he never saw color, race or status and was never one to judge.
