Emelina "Nina" Gomez was born on October 3, 1937 in Guajay, Cuba. She resided in Miami, Florida until her passing on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. She loved baseball almost as much as she loved her grandchildren and was present at each of their games. Nina was predeceased by her beloved husband Victor "Berto" Gomez and her dear sister Elena Fernandez. She will be greatly missed by her loving son Victor Gomez and loving daughter in law Nevada Alba. She will also be missed by her cherished granchildren Victor "Vic" Alba Gomez, Nathan "Nate" Alba Gomez, and her adored great-grandchildren Vinny Gomez and Matty Gomez.
