Eloisa M. Paniagua's Obituary
Eloisa Menendez Paniagua peacefully reunited with her beloved husband in the afterlife on November 23, 2019. Eloisa was born on September 5, 1925 in Camaway, Cuba to her parents Segundo and Teresa Menendez. She met the love of her life Raul Paniagua (1925-1985) in Varadero, Cuba on a beach vacation. They married in a simple wedding on September 21, 1955 after a short engagement. Eloisa and Raul immigrated to the United States in 1963 with two daughters, Barbara and Julie, settling in Hollywood, Florida, and later Miami, Florida.
Eloisa was a cheerful and vibrant woman who always had a joke and an infectious laugh. She managed a beautiful home that hosted what seemed to be a party every weekend. She was known for her ability to entertain a constant stream of visitors at a moments notice. Eloisa was devoted to her growing family of 2 daughters, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Eloisa was a master seamstress crafting custom outfits for friends, family and clients that waited in line for her creations. Owning an Eloisa Paniagua original was always a reason to brag.
Eloisa’s example of resilience combined with optimism, tenacity, faith, and love for her family and friends will be sorely missed by all fortunate enough to have crossed her path.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Raul, and siblings Segudo, Hilaria (YaYa) Vilar, and Antonio. She is survived by sister Teresa, daughters Barbara Paniagua and Julie Paniagua Rosen, son-in-law Robert, grandsons Rennie, Evan and Daniel, and grandchildren Vanessa, Alex, Elijah, Judah, Micah, and Ezra.
