Edith Denis' Obituary
Edith Denis was born on October 18,1922 in Haiti to Victor Martineau and Camille Jaeger. She passed away peacefully in her home, in Homestead Florida, surrounded by her family, on July 31st, 2020, at the age of 97. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She spent her days caring for her family and raising her four children and grand-children. Edith enjoyed sewing, crocheting, singing and baking. In her later days, she often spent her time painting. Edith was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith.
She was predeceased in death by her parents Victor and Camille Martineau, her brother Gerad Martineau,her husband, Jean Denis, her sons, Jean Denis Jr and Patrick Denis, and son in-law Frantz Haspil. She leaves behind two daughters, Florence Denis and Liliane Denis Haspil, along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will miss her everyday. Edith will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her calm nature and cheerful disposition. May her soul rest in eternal peace!

For years, Edith donated to St. Jude’s Children’s hospital and championed the fight against childhood cancer. A memorial page has been created in her honor. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial gifts may be made to St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
