Edita Rosa Barrios Arango's Obituary
Age 90, on Jan 10 she went to meet our Lord. Survived by her children, Elizabeth Reyes, Pablo Reyes Jr. and wife Hope Reyes, Jaime Reyes and wife Lisa Reyes, Viodelda Lopez and husband Jaime Lopez, Ariadna Reyes Hoots, Hector Reyes and wife Margo Reyes and Rosalinda Reyes Arias and husband Mauricio Arias, 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.
She is a native Panamanian born in Colon, Panama hailing from the indigenous Kuna Indian and retired after 25 years serving our soldiers in the Army and Air Force Exchange Service as a chef. She loved dancing and her countries cumbia music, she was straight up, no bull, always caring and making people laugh. Most importantly, she was a God fearing woman who dedicated her life to helping others and taught us those same morals. She was and I am sure will still be the biggest prayer warrior of this family. She was the matriarch of our family, our family rock. Her final words to most of us was always, Dios te bendiga (God bless you).
She always gave to St. Jude, so please feel free to carry on her torch of giving to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
