Gursky, Denise Marie's Obituary
Denise Marie Debra Devine Gursky, a former teacher and reading tutor who touched the lives of all of her students, passed away unexpectedly on January 20, 2025.
Denise is survived by her mother; Charlene Kleckler, her children; Brittney Gursky-Landa and Hunter Miller, and her siblings; Debra Bowers, Kenny Devine, Dawn Borick. She is predeceased by her husband Philip Gursky.
Denise was born in Pennsylvania on March 21, 1967 to Charlene Kleckler and Robert Kenneth Devine. She married Philip Gursky on April 13, 1991 and moved to Miami, FL in 1993. She started out volunteering for her daughter’s school, where she was eventually offered a paid position. As a computer teacher and reading coach, she touched the lives of all of her students for more than 20 years. She continued to do so after she retired from the school and continued on as a private tutor.
Denise was a deeply devoted mother and friend. She was an excellent cook, and such a talented singer, that she could have been a professional. She will be remembered for her outgoing and fun personality, her sense of humor, her fierce way of loving, and through all the students’ lives she changed for the better. She will be deeply missed by everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing her. May we all be comforted by the fact that she is somewhere in heaven dancing with her husband Phil.
