I remember Judy and her parents coming to visit us in Bossier City, LA several years ago. He was very quiet but friendly.
The thing I remember the most, I guess because it made me feel bad, is him taking a nap in the bedroom on the floor instead of the bed. I told him he should be napping on the bed, not in the floor, but he said that’s the way he took naps!! A wonderful man!! 😢
Don was a sweet and kind man who loved his family with all of his heart. He was irreplaceable and will be missed by all who knew him. Don was a humble man who had great accomplishments and stories and he shared both with his family. Love you Don.
One of my many fond memories of Dad was when he and I would drive between Amarillo and Clovis together when I was a child. The sunset was something you would never forget. During the two hour drive crossing railroad tracks, seeing livestock, and watching the windmills spin, the sky would start to change color as the sun started to set. I would curl up right next to him in the front bucket sit, and no seatbelts during that time. As an adult, each time I drive into a beautiful sunset, I think of my Dad. Love always, Judy
