Colin Bruce Redden's Obituary
Colin Bruce Redden, 74, passed away on Friday January 6th, 2023 at his home in Homestead, Florida. A lifelong resident of Homestead, he served his community both as a firefighter with Dade County Fire Rescue and the Jaycees. He was also a member of Florida Farm Bureau and co-owner of Sea-Lect Seafood on US1 in Florida City, Florida. Colin was a loving husband and father. He was also a passionate fisherman and dedicated a large portion of his life to exploring the waters of South Florida with family and friends.
Colin is survived by his wife, Aletha B. Redden, children; Rachel R. Embrich and Colin Quinn Redden and step-children, Amy Mitchell and John W. Mitchell III. Grandchildren, Ariel Baldwin, John W. Mitchell IV, Kathryn Baldwin, Robert Mitchell, Richard Baldwin Jr., and Conor Redden. Brother Kerry Redden, and Sister Vickie Giefer.
A memorial service will be held at a date to be determined. As Colin was an avid fisherman and nature enthusiast, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Florida Wildlife Federation.
