Fraxedas, Clara Maria's Obituary
Clara Maria Fraxedas, a longtime resident of Miami, died peacefully in the early morning of November the twelfth.
Clara was born on August 31, 1938 in Ciego de Avila, Cuba. Her parents were Enrique and Pilar Fraxedas. She has one older brother Enrique and younger siblings Oscar, Celia, Felipe and Nilo.
She met and married her husband Luis Rodriguez and had two daughters, Matipi and Carmen.
After arriving in the U.S., Clara always worked to give her family a better life and continued to be a hard working woman until her retirement from Miami Dade County.
Clara helped many family members and friends get established in this country and was known for her kindness and generosity. Her home was open to many people when they were in need.
She was predeceased by brothers Oscar and Nilo Fraxedas and sister Celia Martinez. She is survived by her children Matipi O’Hara and Carmen Vanderbrink, her grandchildren Bethany O’Hara-Na and Carolyn Lamb, great grandchildren Autumn and Emma Lamb and brothers Enrique and Felipe Fraxedas.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and a devoted Republican.
