With deep sorrow, the family of Carmen Luisa Silverio announces her peaceful passing on June 11, 2025, at the age of 101. Born on August 17, 1923, in Cuba, Carmen lived a long and meaningful life marked by resilience, strength, and love. Carmen immigrated to the United States with her beloved husband, seeking a better life and new beginnings. They settled in Miami, Florida, where she worked hard and built a life rooted in family, tradition, and faith. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Mayte Espinoza, and a loving grandmother to Yesenia and Kevin, who brought great joy to her later years. Her home was always filled with warmth, stories from her homeland, and the comforting smells of Cuban cooking. Carmen will be remembered for her generosity, wisdom, and the unshakable love she gave to all who knew her. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on Sunday, June 15, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Memorial Plan San Jose, 250 E 4th Ave, Hialeah, FL 33010. A burial service will follow on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Caballero Rivero North, 1301 Opa Locka Blvd, Miami, FL 33167. Carmen's legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
