Bienvenido "Benny" Castellon's Obituary
Bienvenido “Benny“ Castellon born November 30th, 1928 passed away on Wednesday April 14th, 2021 at the age of 92 years.
Originally from Los Arabos, Matanzas, Cuba he lived in Havana for several years before coming to the United States due to the Castro Revolution; residing in Miami for several years before moving to Pembroke Pines after his wife Nereida passed away.
Benny was a member of the Masons in Cuba and he was a member of Saint Simon’s Episcopal Church since the late 70’s until his demise.
He was well known to both the English and Spanish congregation who appreciated his knowledge and his jovial personality, always willing to help and to work during church events.
He was an avid “Domino” player and for many years he enjoyed the company of parishioners and friends that had the opportunity to celebrate many happy occasions including trips abroad and family and friends get togethers.
He is survived by his daughter Norma and his granddaughter Jessica.
Viewing will be at Memorial Plan Funeral Home 9800 SW 24th St. Miami, Fl 33165 on Thursday April 22nd from 5:00 to 10:00 PM.
Burial will be the following day Friday the 23rd departing the Funeral Home at 10:00 am to his final resting place at Memorial Park Cemetery 14200 SW 117 Ave. Miami, Fl 33185.
