Beatriz Ramos' Obituary
Beatriz "Bea" Ramos (Zapata), a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother,
passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 85 in Miami, Florida. Born on
September 9, 1938, in Colombia, Beatriz was the glue that held her family
together, known for her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. Beatriz
was a woman of faith and worshipped at Christian Ministries. She found
solace and strength in her beliefs, which guided her throughout her life. She
was also a dedicated supporter of various charities, particularly U.S.
Veterans, demonstrating her selfless nature and commitment to giving back.
Beatriz was a high couture seamstress by profession and was very proud of
her trade. In her later years Beatriz indulged in her love for "Telenovelas,"
finding joy and entertainment in the captivating stories they told. Her
laughter and warmth were infectious, and she had a remarkable ability to
make everyone around her feel loved and cherished. Beatriz is survived by
her loving children, Luis O. Ramos, Ana Archilla, Nancy Ramos, and Maritza
Ramos. She is also survived by her sister, Eucaris Zapata de Caicedo, and
eight grandchildren. Beatriz was preceded in death by her beloved husband,
Luis O. Ramos.
A memorial service to honor Beatriz's life will be held on Tuesday, January
16, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Memorial Plan Westchester
Funeral Home located at 9800 SW 24th St, Miami, FL 33165.
Contributions in her memory can be made to U.S. Veterans, a cause close to
her heart.
Beatriz will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband and the true love of her
life on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Dade South
Cemetery, 14200 SW 117th Avenue, Miami, FL 33186.
All vehicles will meet at Memorial Plan Westchester at 11AM sharp and will be
escorted by motorcycle police to and from the cemetery.
Beatriz will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of
knowing her. Her kind and gentle soul, her unwavering love, and
her ability to bring joy to those around her will forever be
remembered.
