Andres Abel Clavijo's Obituary
Andres A. Clavijo (Abel) passed away peacefully at age 102 surrounded by family on May 15, 2019. He was born in Moron, Cuba in 1917 and worked tirelessly in both farm and office settings. In 1965, he and his wife Gloria, were forced to leave their beloved homeland, and made a new home for his family in Columbus Ohio. In 1994 he followed two of his children to Miami, his third and final earthly home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Paquita Clavijo, as well as his siblings Osvaldo Clavijo and Tete Bethart. He is survived by his beautiful bride of 73 years Gloria de la Torre, brother Eduardo Clavijo (Miriam), children Andres (Zaida), Gloria Lopez (Fernando) and Carlos (Polly), grandchildren Andres (Tyffanie), Alberto and Zaida Maria Clavijo, Alex, Eduardo and Fernando Lopez, , and Ana Clavijo, Priscilla Bright and Gwendolyn Throckmorton, great grandchildren Andrew Dunham, Ella Clavijo, Fernando Lopez, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He will be missed for his quiet strength and fortitude for always doing the right thing. Funeral services will take place on
