Amy R. Wallace's Obituary
Wallace, Amy R., 97, born in Detroit, Michigan passed away on October 11, 2019 in Miami, Florida. Private cremation services.
Amy Wallace was a nurse in a mash unit in France during World War II. One of the first women in the Army to earn a pilots license and rose to rank of lieutenant. She was the youngest of 13 and grew up on a family farm in Metropolitan, MI. A strong, brave women who loved her family and always took the high rode when it came to ethics and morality. She taught us to never back down from a just fight. When Mom was out to dinner a man had a cardiac arrest and she wasted no time to jump in and give CPR while everyone else stood by and looked on. Amy will be greatly missed by all her family and we will continue to pray for Mom. Amy was a beacon of light that will always guide us. - The Wallace Family
Mother's Garden
My Mother kept a garden,
a garden of the heart,
She Planted all the good things
that gave my life it's start.
She turned me to the sunshine
and encouraged me to dream,
fostering and nurturing
the seeds of self-esteem...
And when the winds and rain came,
she protected me enough--
But not too much because she knew
I'd need to stand up strong and tough.
Her constant good example
always taught me right from wrong--
Markers for my pathway
that will last a lifetime long.
I am my Mother's garden.
I am her legacy.
And I hope today she feels the love
reflected back from me.
