Alodia Guas' Obituary
Alodia Guas was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She left this world on October 21, 2021 at the age of 87.
She was born to Celia Martinez and Federico Ruiz on June 10, 1934 in San Jose de las Lajas, Cuba. She wed her husband Lazaro Guas in March 1954 and they had twin boys, Lazaro and Aurelio Guas on May 1, 1954. In December 1965, she migrated to the United States to escape communism. She spent 21 years in New York before moving to Florida in 1986 where she spent her time helping her son Lazaro raise her grandson Lazarito.
Alodia loved spending time with her family and always made sure her family was taken care of. She loved music, dancing and cooking huge meals for special gatherings with family and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, November 5, 2021 from 6:00pm - 11:00pm at Memorial Plan Westchester Funeral Home, 9800 SW 24th Street, Miami, FL 33165. A burial is scheduled for Saturday, November 6, 2021. Procession begins promptly at 9:30am.

Nació de Celia Martínez y Federico Ruiz el 10 de junio de 1934 en San Jose de las Lajas, Cuba. Se casó con su marido Lázaro Guas en marzo de 1954 y tuvieron gemelos, Lázaro y Aurelio Guas el 1 de mayo de 1954. En diciembre de 1965, emigró a los Estados Unidos para escapar del comunismo. Pasó 21 años en Nueva York antes de mudarse a Florida en 1986, donde pasó su tiempo ayudando a su hijo Lázaro a criar a su nieto Lazarito.
Alodia le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y siempre se aseguraba de que su familia fuera atendida. Le encantaba la música, bailar y cocinar comidas enormes para reuniones especiales con familiares y amigos.
Se ha programado un funeral para el viernes 5 de Noviembre de 2021 de 6:00 p.m. a 11:00 p.m. en Memorial Plan Westchester Funeral Home, 9800 SW 24th Street, Miami, FL 33165. Se ha programado un entierro para el Sábado 6 de Noviembre de 2021. La procesión comienza puntualmente a las 9:30 a.m.
