Alicia E Marrero's Obituary
Alicia Enriqueta Marrero, 81, of West Miami, Florida, peacefully departed this world on Thursday, July 4th, 2024. Calligrapher to the world, butterfly aficionado, artist and accountant all rolled into one beautiful small package, her life can be defined by one thing: the selfless act of giving. Quiet by nature, she packed a powerful punch when she gave all she had in her quest to put the lives of others before her own. Alicia was the quintessential caregiver: a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She never complained about the cards life dealt her and embraced every challenge with joy. She encouraged her daughters to live their life and explore the world because she knew the importance of a life well lived, all while sacrificing her own. Alicia never felt that she was unlucky to have her share of problems, instead she felt grateful for the strength to survive them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danilo Marrero and is survived by her daughters, Isabel Marrero and Lourdes M. Corona (Hector Corona), her grandson, Matthew Corona and her brother, Jose Elias Seife.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 14th, 2024, from 6pm-10:30pm at Memorial Plan Westchester Funeral Home, 9800 Coral Way, Miami, Florida 33165 followed by burial on Monday, July 15th, 2024, at 1pm at Miami Memorial Park, 6200 SW 77th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33143.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request a donation in her name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
