Albert D Uster's Obituary
Albert Daniel Uster, the dear husband of Maria Valdivieso and father of Albert Uster Valdivieso ’28 and Matias Uster Valdivieso ’30, passed away on May 16 from complications from ALS, which is also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. He was 49.
Mr. Uster lived life to the fullest, showing his boys there is nothing in life they cannot accomplish. Besides being a successful businessman, he was also a runner, triathlete, skier, scuba diver, mountain climber and pastry chef. After his ALS diagnosis, he participated in fundraising for a cure for the disease, including the Walk to Defeat ALS Miami. He has been surrounded by family in recent weeks, and they are heartbroken.
A mass will be held in his memory at 4 p.m. Friday, May 19, at St. Agnes Catholic Church at 100 Harbor Drive on Key Biscayne. Albert and Matias ask that those attending wear white.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Team Uster at the ALS Society.
