Aida Lazo's Obituary
"It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Aida Lazo, 93, of Miami, FL. She passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026. Born on September 11, 1932 in her native Cuba, Aida was a loving mother and a fierce advocate of Public Education. As a mother and wife, she provided endless love, invaluable wisdom, and made everyone feel welcome. Everyone knew her as Aida, but her family always referred to her as “Yeya”. Her hobbies included spending time with family, movies, sharing a good laugh, and traveling. She will truly be missed by all who knew her or by those that took the time to get to know her. Aida is survived by her two sons George and Louis Lazo. She also had four loving grandchildren: Jeannette Lazo, Michael Lazo, Diana M. Lazo, George L. Lazo, and one great grandchild: Julian Gonzalez-Lazo. Aida is also survived by her two daughters in law: Reina Isabel Lazo and Mirtha Lazo."
