Ada Albear Poggio, a devoted mother of three, cherished daughter, and remarkable woman, passed away on 01/08/2026 at the age of 88. Her life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and unwavering dedication to family and community.
Born in Havana Cuba on September 25, 1937, Ada immigrated to the United States in the early 1960's with her then husband Eduardo Poggio Sr and young daughter Ada. She had hope, courage, and determination to build a better life.
She ultimately resided in Miami and had two sons Eduardo and Alberto. She raised her three children with strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love. Her children were her greatest pride, and she worked tirelessly to ensure they were supported, guided, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.
Deeply committed to helping others, Ada devoted much of her career to community service, advocating for and supporting economically disadvantaged individuals as they worked to better themselves. Her compassion and belief in dignity, opportunity, and fairness touched countless lives.
Through perseverance and integrity, Ada achieved notable professional success, ultimately retiring as Vice President of Compliance at Northern Trust Bank. Her career reflected her strong ethics, leadership, and dedication to excellence—qualities that earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout her life.
A woman of strong faith, Ada was an active and devoted member of her church, where she found strength, purpose, and fellowship. She participated wholeheartedly in church life, offering her time, kindness, and service to her faith community, which she considered an extension of her family.
Ada is survived by her three loving children and her four beloved grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and purpose. She also leaves behind extended family and friends who will forever cherish her warmth, wisdom, grace and generous spirit.
Though she will be deeply missed, Ada's legacy lives on through the lives she shaped, the values she instilled, and the love she gave so freely. Her story is one of courage, service, and enduring love.
