Renooka Yamala Boodoo

June 12, 1957 - April 5, 2022

Renooka Boodoo (given name Gosein) peacefully passed away at 6:53pm on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022, at the age of 64 years old. Renooka was born to Haridass and the late Dolly Gosein on June 12, 1957. Renooka is survived by her husband James Krishna Boodoo, her son, Videsh Persad, and her grandson, Aneel Persad. She is reuniting with her late mother and two brothers, Dolly, Kumar, and Narin Gosein. > Renooka is lovingly remembered by her family: *Father, Haridass Gosein *Sister, Navi and her husband Joe * Sister, Chan and her husband Prakash and their children Kavita, Varuna, and Praveena * Sister in law Shirley and her children Vash and Vijay * Sister in law Leela and her children Varin and Chandini As most of you are aware, Renooka suffered a massive stroke in November of 2020. Recovery and life after the stroke was a steep hill for her to climb, however, she still managed to laugh and crack jokes. In the recent months prior to her passing, Renooka was striving to regain her ability to walk. Sadly, a kidney infection three weeks prior to her passing changed the course of her journey. While her family is sad to see her go, we are happy to set her free to dance the night away with her sharp moves. We are happy to see an end to her pain, suffering and limitations. We thank the community for the love and support that you showed her through her darkest moments. She was lucky to have such wonderful and supportive friends. May she always be remembered for her generosity, her forever readiness to knock about, her ability to light up the dance floor, her delicious culinary skills, and most importantly, her fierce dedication to her loved ones. She will truly be missed.
