Medardo Enrique Espinosa Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Medardo E. Espinosa passed away peacefully at his home in Hialeah, Florida, on June 4, 2022, at the age of 93. His loving wife of 56 years, Rosario, was by his side. Born on June 2, 1929 in Rodas, Cuba, to Armando Medardo and Otilia Rosello Espinosa, he immigrated to the United States in 1965. Professionally he was an accomplished machinist, retiring from Eastern Airlines. His gift for repairing machinery was not limited to the workplace; he often invented gadgets for the home, to the benefit (and sometimes amusement) of his family. He loved the outdoors, and cultivated a variety of fruits. He leaves behind many memories of family celebrations spent together at local parks and beaches. He had a passion for traveling, visiting places throughout the United States, Europe, the Caribbean, and South America. Although he did not receive a formal education, he was a tremendously intelligent, wise, sincere, and principled man, whose humility and integrity were only exceeded by his profound love and dedication to his family. We are so grateful to have borne witness to the values that he held and example that he lived. He is survived by his wife, Rosario; son Medardo Espinosa, daughter-in law Thresa Espinosa; daughter Elizabeth, son-in law Matthew Jeffries, granddaughter Ashley Cross; daughter Rosalyn, son-in law Mario, granddaughters Sydney and Julia Sariol; daughter Alice, son in-law Andrew, grandchildren Arden and Aidan Miehl; brother Francisco Espinosa, and sister Gladys Cordes. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
