Just saw this as I was with a few old friends and we mentioned John’s name. Johnny was my best friend in high school at CCHS in Troy, NY. We were very close and played baseball together at school. He was a second baseman then. He and I played pool many nights in downtown Troy. I was so sorry to read his obit when I googled him. He was a great friend and we had many great times together. So sorry for your loss.

Uncle John, I will never forget the word "kiddo" this is always in my memory associated with you. I will never forget the time you were out in Colorado and we were at lunch before going to the ball game and you called me kiddo again and said, " I suppose i shouldn't call you kiddo now that you've grown and you gave me that unforgettable smile" I respond with no don't ever stop i love that! Lol. Thanks for being such an inspiration of love and happiness. You are missed and loved by many. May the lord bless your soul. Love you! Gerry Tichelbaut II

My Uncle John McCloskey. One of the greatest people I’ve ever known. You will be missed so much. Though you will never be forgotten. I’ll always remember your laugh & the genuine wonderful person you were. Like so many of us, I feel fortunate to have known you and to have so many wonderful memories of you. I will think about you often. Every time I watch our Cubbies I’ll be thinking of you! So glad we all were able to enjoy going to a game together. It’s a priceless memory. Thoughts and prayers to your family and loved ones. Miss you Uncle John.

John you, my brothers and many of my other cousins were my best friends growing up. We were surrounded by love and had many fun times. I still remember flying out to Chicago with your wedding cake in suitcases and Aunt Peggy putting it together at the reception hall the night before. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family and many friends at this time. Love always Kathy Jubic Worobey
